Ein Covid Wunder … Die künstlerische Leitung des Klang Film Theater in Schladming hatte sich dazu entschieden, ihre theatralische Saison mit unserem Stück zu beginnen … Wir waren vermutlich eine der ersten Truppen, die in Europa wieder spielen konnten!
Dieses Stück liegt mir (Andreas Simma) besonders am Herzen. Ich trage es in mir schon seit 20 Jahren in mir.
Es begann mit dem Lesen meines ersten Dostoijewski Romans, Der Idiot : Ich war zutiefst bewegt. Der Wunsch, ihn in einer gespielten Form, als Erzähler, Darsteller und Mime auf die Bühne zu bringen, kam mir, nachdem ich in einer Adaptierung von « Schuld und Sühne », einer Zusammenarbeit der italienischen Compagnie « Sinequanon » und er irischen Truppe « Shibboletheatre » 1999, die rolle des Raskolnikow gespielt hatte. Wie spielten es in einer englischen und französischen Version.
Das Zusammentreffen mit dem Musiker Yorgos Pervolarakis und der Regisseurin Caroline Richards, unsere Freundschaft und künstlerische Affinität machten es möglich, dass das Schicksal des Fürsten Myschkin in dieser sehr besonderen Version erzählt wird.

Un miracle Covid … La direction artistique du Klang Film Theater a décidé d’ouvrir leur théâtre avec notre spectacle … Nous étions probablement une des premières troupes à jouer en Europe!
Ce spectacle auquel je suis particulièrement attaché est un projet que je porte en moi depuis vingt ans.
Tout débute avec ma première lecture de l’Idiot de Dostoïevski ; j’en suis sorti profondément touché. L’envie de le monter en tant que conteur, au travers d’un théâtre gestuel et d’objet, m’est venue après avoir interprété Raskolnikov dans une adaptation de « Crime et Châtiment », en collaboration avec la compagnie italienne « Sinequanon » et la troupe irlandaise « Shibboletheatre » en 1999, deux jeunes compagnies fraîchement sorties de l’École Internationale de théâtre Jacques Lecoq. Nous l’avons joué dans sa version anglaise et française.
Ma rencontre avec le musicien Yorgos Pervolarakis et Caroline Richards, notre amitié et affinité artistique ont permis que le destin du prince Mychkine soit raconté dans cette version si particulière.
A Covid miracle … The artistic direction of the Klang Film Theater decided to open their theater with our show … We were probably one of the first troupes to play in Europe!
This show, to which I am particularly attached, is a project that I have been carrying within me for twenty years.
It all started with my first reading of Dostoyevsky’s The Idiot, which touched me deeply. The desire to perform it as a storyteller, through physical and object theater, came to me after having interpreted Raskolnikov in an adaptation of « Crime and Punishment », in collaboration with the Italian company « Sinequanon » and the Irish troupe « Shibboletheatre » in 1999, two young companies fresh out of the Jacques Lecoq International Theatre School. We performed it in its English and French versions.
My meeting with the musician Yorgos Pervolarakis and Caroline Richards, our friendship and artistic affinity made it possible to tell the story of Prince Myshkin in this very special version.
